    Our client is seeking an Account Representative on the Living Benefits team. This position will adjudicate complex, contestable claims, manage litigated cases including processing compromise settlements, review high dollar, early duration claims to determine if the ceding company is following their guidelines, make recommendations to the Claims Review Committee, manage the client relationship, lead projects, conduct claims trend analysis and produce analytical business reports when requested. The Account Representative will also be the Lead on external audits including completing the audit report, identifying training opportunities, conducting training and presenting at industry meetings.


    Responsibilities for this role include:

    Adjudicate complex, contestable claims

    Independently coordinate Underwriting, Legal and Administrative reviews and make decision recommendations to the Claims Review Committee

    Manage litigated cases

    Adjudicate compromise settlements

    Review high dollar, early duration claims

    Manage client relationships

    Conduct claim trend analysis

    Produce analytical business reports such as client benchmark reports, mortality study reports etc...

    Manage External Audit Process and lead all on-site audits

    Identify training opportunities, create training presentations and programs for employees and clients

    Give industry presentations as required

    Lead projects as necessary

    Coordinate with others to create claims tools as appropriate



    Bachelor’s Degree

    8-10 years life or living benefit claims experience required, direct experience preferred

    Strong communication skills, written and oral

    Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Experience

    Associate, Life & Health Claims (ALHC), Associate Reinsurance Administration (ARA), FLMI or HIAA designations preferred
