Business Development Associate Team Lead

International Management Consulting firm is currently opening a new office in Cincinnati. The firm helps global manufacturing organizations transform their operational performance. This is newly created, a ground floor opportunity at the firm.  Position reports to the Executive VP of Sales, who will be home-based in the office in Cincinnati.  These unique opportunities provide high visibility, a dynamic company culture, and room to move up in the Sales/Marketing organization. It is an integral part of the go to market strategy and must act as an effective sales partner to the business. This telemarketing role will focus setting introductory meetings for Business Development Executives, Partners, Principals and Directors to sell work for our Consulting Client. The primary role of the channel is to develop new relationships and ultimately secure new clients through direct dial and email. This role is essential in supporting critical sales events.  Professional behavior and adhering to Company values are of paramount importance as this role will often be the first contact prospective clients have with Company.  This role will serve as a “player-coach”.  He/she will have assigned responsibilities of a BDA but will also have the responsibility to manage and develop up to 4 Business Development Associates.

  • Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and emails
  • Schedule qualified meetings for assigned sales executives for further development and closure
  • Attain weekly/monthly meeting quotas individually and for entire team
  • Directly manage and develop BDAs
  • Research accounts, identify key players and contact information
  • Maintain and expand database of prospects in assigned territory with sales executive
  • Distribute and manage customer mailing campaigns for target accounts
  • Support strategic events
  • Maintain their activity within CRM database
  • Minimum of 3 years of Inside Sales experience required
  • Management and/or Training experience strongly preferred but not required
  • Ability to train and develop others while simultaneously individually contributing
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry
  • Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred
