Our client located in south central Pennsylvania is a global leader in pvc extruded sheet and formed translucent panels required by architects, builders, industry, and large building material market distributors. Daily work requires residence to be convenient nearby the USA Americas HQ located in the greater Allentown PA area. The Americas HQ serves USA, Mexico, and Canada industrial and fabricator customer markets. Position reports to the VP of Sales. Travel of 50% predominately to USA Industrial customers and region offices may be necessary.
Successful candidate hired will maintain full strategic responsibility for sales related functions of the industrial products business unit, including profitability, gross revenue, customer satisfaction, product management, budgeting, inventory oversight, sales forecasting and overall business growth. Candidates must have strong proficiency creating EXCEL presentations from internal data of the business, surveys and sales data compilation. The qualification expectations for this position requires 70% business focus with about 30% skills built on prior sales management experiences.
Develops and will communicate a long term common vision via planning and expectations to all unit members, both direct and indirect employees.
Creates and will ensure execution of a strategy building upon the strategic direction of the corporate vision and company "Lean Journey" goals.
Selects, coaches, empowers and retains a qualified unit staff that contributes to unit and company goals. Integrate different team functions on a group scale and ensure the highest quality performance through measurement, feedback, training and development.
Reports and integrates policies and objectives while coordinating with other managers and senior leadership.
Develops compelling and meaningful value to business by using insight, business analysis, problem solving and flexibility with a focus on forward thinking by identifying opportunities, threats and trends; anticipating future barriers and issues, as well as analyzing and interpreting organized customer economics/financial performance.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience in manufactured products sales environment.
- Experience in “go to market” distribution channels
- Ability to manage and delegate direct reports
- Extremely well organized
- Exceptional attention to detail
- High level skill use with Excel for data analysis, planning, and performance analysis
- Ability to multi-task.
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
Education / Experience:
Master Degree preferred for corporate advancement, College degree required for immediate position hired.
7-15 years of business and sales experience related to manufactured materials. Plastics and PVC extrusions and sheet base materials are formed to products such as light panels, translucent skylites, partition separators panels, etc.
Product and sales channels – ability to promote product via one step / two step distribution with the value of pull through volume results
Leadership – direct report success showing success in talent management, training to results and servant attitude
HQ based. Relocation assistance to area negotiable. Salary commensurate with experience. Bonus plan eligible 10-20%.
