Our client, an independent research company and a leading source of data and intelligence for the financial services industry, is seeking an analytical and organized individual with excellent knowledge of the financial markets, client-facing experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Our client, would also consider a recent college graduate with the ability to learn and grow within the role. Clients include fund managers, investment banks, legal firms, institutional investors, financial advisors, asset managers and placement agents. These key decision-makers rely on the company’s information and services, and the company’s data and statistics are regularly quoted by the financial press.
Pro-actively contacting clients via phone/email to ensure usage/understanding of company platform.
Responding to incoming client requests, often involving liaising internally with research and sales teams.
Responding to client queries in real-time via LiveChat.
Advising clients on how to obtain the relevant data/information from the company platform.
Training/developing client knowledge of the company platform.
Working to support/promote sales and marketing initiatives.
Experience and Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to make outbound calls and receive inbound calls, to build relationships with financial professionals and the ability to explain complex issues in a clear and simple way.
Excellent analytical/problem solving skills - ability to have a problem-solving approach to all incoming queries.
Manage priorities and expectations for incoming requests and projects
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including being proficient in: vlook ups, pivot tables, 'what if’ statements and sorting large amounts of data to help with client requests.
High level of attention to detail - accuracy and consistency is a key feature of client support.
Comfortable working to key performance indicator targets.
Some experience in customer or sales support/client relations or other client-facing role, as you will be liaising with key decision makers at financial institutions.
Confident communicating with sales and research teams, technical people, and managers.
Experience working with business applications such as PowerPoint and CRM systems.
Must be a team player and enjoy working with a friendly and intelligent group of peers, balancing urgent tactical work, periodic operational needs, and the company’s longer-term sales initiatives.
A 4-year college degree.
A client-centric attitude.
A good work ethic coupled with an ability to learn quickly and a willingness and interest in keeping up to date on our products and the Financial Services industry.
