MAIN FUNCTION OF THE POSITION
To provide service to agency’s customers on their commercial insurance program through various means of communication with strong emphasis on retention and growth through prompt and courteous service.
Assists Producers in the placement of new and renewal business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct customer service support for commercial lines clients.
Issue appropriate documentation as needed including certificates of insurance, auto insurance ID cards, etc.
Compose or assist in composition of highly technical or sensitive correspondence.
Ability to translate highly technical information for the client’s understanding
Completing applications, negotiating with underwriters and preparing proposals for new and renewal business proposals/offerings
Contact clients and/or underwriters to obtain additional information or answer questions
Resolves policy and coverage related concerns for clients, insurance carriers, and Producers.
Ability to communicate negative actions to the client, while offering a solution to remedy the situation
Binds, or places coverage with acceptable carriers adhering to appropriate carriers binding authority.
Stays current on company insurance products and offerings. Keep abreast of developments in the marketplace, including product line offerings, changing insurance consumer trends and needs.
Set up and maintain electronic file information in the Agency Management System including data entry and client & policy database maintenance
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of communication pertaining to client’s insurance program.
Reviews accounts handled for adequate coverage.
Process change requests and other coverage research issues
Checking policy coverage and endorsements for accuracy
Assumes full responsibility for service and administration of client accounts
Review Aged Receivables, follows up on collection of premium payments and assist the accounting department in reconciliation of company and client accounts
Follows established guidelines for workflow and system documentation
Strong writing skills - ability to translate technical information in manner understandable to all levels of clients.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Current Washington State Insurance License or in process of getting licensed
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum three (3) years recent agency experience handling the service of multi-line commercial lines book of business
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
