District Sales Manager
Candidate will work from a home office in the Texas and Oklahoma territory.
Commensurate with experience and is a combination of salary and uncapped commission.
The District Sales Manager will be responsible for managing assigned accounts and distributors within the Texas and Oklahoma territory in the sales of material handling equipment with a focus on industrial hoists and cranes. Products are used primarily in industrial manufacturing and distribution environments, including aerospace, water treatment, heavy manufacturing, agriculture, mining, automotive, and logistics. The company is an entrepreneurial business with 100 years of experience and some of the strongest and well-known brands available. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Effectively manages territory accounts, develops tactics, and coordinates efforts to fulfill quarterly and annual objectives (grow territory sales and bookings).
Establish and maintain a proactive working relationship with customers.
Convey product knowledge, value proposition, and company strategy to distributors and end users.
Collect Voice of Customer from distributors and end users to improve product offerings and value for the customer against competition.
Develop and execute sales plan and account strategy for key customers and markets related to territory.
Work closely with many departments within the company as a liaison to customer base to help provide proactive solutions to any opportunities or issues.
Develop account penetration strategies to drive specification of or preference for company's products at distributors and end users.
Must be able to effectively analyze sales history in order to make recommendations for strategic direction of account development.
Exhibits leadership with accounts, accepts direction, and asserts ideas to build collaboration among team members. Position may occasional involve training and mentoring of other representatives for future team development.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Business Administration, other related field, or equivalent
industry experience. Experience with or background in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Demonstrated success in the sales of material handling equipment with a focus on industrial hoists and cranes.
Ability to travel 3-4 nights per week, 3-4 weeks per month.
Strong knowledge of sales process to distribution and end users.
Professional and friendly demeanor at all times. Calm under deadline pressures and in stressful situations.
Ability to be proactive, manage projects from start to finish, identify problems and find solutions.
Works well both independently and in a team environment.
