A regional leader in animal feeds is seeking an account management professional with experience managing the sale of pet food, horse feeds or backyard animal feeds to chain store accounts. This person will work out of the corporate offices with minimal travel. In this role, you will work for an established brand of equine, pet and show animal feeds to drive sales, on-board new dealers, train retail sales rep and resolve distribution/quality concerns.

Set up new key accounts once established. Manage on-boarding process. Assist with current dealer on-boarding process and help improve.
On-board new locations and assist with grand openings, celebratory events at key accounts
Work with President and VP Sales to establish new key accounts.
Create process for key account set up
Drive incremental sales with established distributors/chain stores by introducing new products, promotions, marketing materials and store level training.
Manage distribution, sales data, and returns with key accounts including credit processing.
Assist with resolving quality concerns, pricing issues, and other customer issues
Identify prospective key accounts, gather preliminary information, set up initial meetings with key stakeholders internally and with the prospect, and prepare meeting presentations
Create systems for evaluating success store-by-store or by SKU or both
Regularly communicate with key account leadership/buyers to further develop relationships and find new opportunities.
Work with marketing to create Point-of-Sale materials for retail stores
Create online training for retail sales reps and create an incentive program for retail sales reps to complete training
Provide visual merchandising expertise to key accounts
5+ years of experience managing the sales/account management process with chain stores/distributors selling equine or pet related products.
horse enthusiasts with 5+ years experience managing CPG sales to retailers.
Preferred Experience would include any of the following:
Pet food or horse feed sales experience
Account Management experience
