Our client is a dynamic,well-established Regional Floorcovering Distributor, and is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join it's team
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE/INSIDE SALES REP/TECHNICAL
  • PRIMARY JOB IS TO MAKE PROFITABLE SALES ON INCOMING AND OUTGOING CALLS
  • GENERATE NEW & REPEAT BUSINESS
  • HANDLE INCOMING CALLS, FAXES, EMAILS
  • TAKING ORDERS PROPERLY & ACCURATELY
  • GIVING INFORMATION ON PRODUCT LINES, INVENTORY
  •  & ACCOUNT ORDER STATUS
  • PROCESS ORDERS
  • SELL PROMOTIONS
  • UP SELL & CROSS SELL PRODUCTS
  • GIVE TECHNICAL INFORMATION ON PRODUCTS
  • DEAL WITH VENDOR TO COORDINATE SHIPMENTS
  • TRACK DELIVERIES
  • QUOTING JOBS – LARGE & SMALL
  • GIVE FREIGHT RATES FOR SHIPMENTS (DIRECTS, UPS)
  • SALES CALL (WHEN GIVEN YOUR OWN TERRITORY)
  • HANDLE SPECIAL SITUATIONS & RESOLVE PROBLEMS  FOR CUSTOMERS
  • WORK TOGETHER WITH OUTSIDE SALES AS SUPPORT TEAM
  • WORK TOGETHER WITH WAREHOUSE & DRIVERS
  • BILLING ORDERS
  • GIVING FREIGHT RATES
  • SETTING UP ACCOUNTS
  • CHECK ETA’S & EXPEDITE SPECIAL ORDERS
  • PROJECTS  WHEN NEEDED
  • BE AT DESK AND READY TO ANSWER PHONES AT 8:30-530
  • INSURE PROPER PHONE COVERAGE BEFORE GETTING UP (MIN 3-4 PEOPLE)
We are looking for a candidate that is proficient at keyboarding (i.e. typing) and has at least an intermediate level of expertise with both Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook would be a plus.
