In this critical role,
you will be responsible for performing accounting duties that require the exercise of discretion and independent judgment to comply with financial reporting requirements set by existing bank policies and procedures and new federal regulations.
Makes recommendations to manager after evaluating different courses of action and offers suggestions on a regular basis about how procedures should change (e.g., to make them more efficient or to comply with changing requirements).
Assists in the preparation of various monthly and quarterly reports for managements review. Assist in the management of daily operations, workflow and handling of customer service issues.
Assists in researching and developing procedures and processes as necessary to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”).
Prepares monthly ledger entries, reconciliations, and miscellaneous reports.
Assists in the development and maintenance of key Hyperion (Data Warehouse) research, analysis and informational reports.
Performs analysis of accounts to discover and resolve problems.
Prepares journal entries on a timely basis for the development of financial statements.
May assist Department Supervisor in preparation of SEC and Corporation regulatory reporting.
Assists in processing all loan transactions using the Signature Loan system from inception through maturity/sale and provides accurate and efficient month-end processing and reporting.
Assists in preparing for test upgrades and train other users on the Signature Loan system.
Prepares data queries, reports and verifies compliance with FCRA to ensure accurate monthly credit bureau reporting.
Responsible for assisting in the accounting and maintenance of nonperforming loan portfolio and related procedures.
Analyzes all CBS rejects and verifies they are recorded accurately.
Provides backup for CBS balancing including loan clearing, suspense accounts and all other accounts that are balanced.
Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements include ...
One (1) to three (3) years loan/lease accounting and reconciliation experience preferred.
Good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
