Our fast growing privately held client is seeking a National Sales Manager, ideally with both packaging materials AND machinery experience to lead all tactical sales activities, directly managing a staff 7-8 Regional Sales personnel and one Key Account Manager.
Will spend 80% of time in managerial functions including setting sales priorities, helping close deals, making joint sales calls, managing / leading the closing process and sales training.
20% of time will be in personal sales / account management / new business development.
Travel will be 50% of the time domestically.
Will report to a Vice President of Sales.
Person can work based out of their home (preferably in either Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis or Cleveland) or work out of corporate in Battle Creek, MI.
BS/BA plus a minimum of 5 – 10 years tactical sales leadership / management experience in a packaging material or packaging machinery environment is a must.
A proven track record in leadership / mentoring as it relates to sales / closing / new business development will be key.
