Role
Primary role of the Regional Sales Manager is to manage and grow sales of Client’s environmental control products and systems over a multi-state territory.  Regional Sales Manager will create monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and strategies for the region and aggressively work to achieve sales objectives to contribute to the success of the corporate strategic plans.
 
The Regional Sales Manager will accomplish his/her goals through personal direct sales efforts, collaborating with client’s internal and through strategic partnerships with channels, OEMs, and Distributors.
The successful candidate will have experience selling environmental control products and systems within the HVAC, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace, Agriculture, Food Processing, Storage & Transportation, Medical & Lab Facilities, Power Production (oil, gas, water, chemical), Weather Monitoring, Agriculture, Process Control industries.
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional support for customers by delivering product presentations and technical training and support.
  • Generate new customers and grow existing ones through strategic, consultative/solutions selling.
  • Develop subject matter expertise company’s products and solutions. Maintain keen awareness of competitors, tactics, offerings and market penetration.
  • Expand and maintain key accounts across local and regional territories.  Actively engage customers and prospects through telephone and in-person, direct sales activities. Develop regular, strategic travel agendas and visits to customers and prospects.
  • Demonstrate creative and consistent communications with customers, prospects and partners to improve and heighten brand awareness and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Develop short and long-term distribution channel strategies to reach prospects and customers in geographical areas or market sectors that may be difficult to reach on a consistent or frequent basis.
  • Regularly study and research company’s markets to identify opportunities to expand into new markets and find new uses for existing products and technologies.

  • Strong technical and logical problem-solving skills
  • Work closely with internal team and management to increase opportunities to quote and close orders.
  • Demonstrates leadership in sales, team motivation, business community marketing communications and participation in trade events.
 
Requirements
  • BS in Engineering or other technical field
  • 5 or more years of technical, solution selling experience
  • Experience in setting, achieving and exceeding sales objectives and revenue goals.
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries, HVAC, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace, Agriculture, Food Processing, Storage & Transportation, Medical & Lab Facilities, Power Production (oil, gas, water, chemical), Weather Monitoring, Agriculture, Process Control is required
  • Subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of how temperature, humidity, volume and chemistry affect electronics equipment and environmental conditions.
  • Expert understanding of terms like dew point, air flow and velocity, fresh air intake, heat loss, humidity, monitoring, pressure control, sensors, temperature, transmitters.
  • Experience managing relationships and results through distribution / partner channels
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly, with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Power point, and CRM software
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 60%
