Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Retain the customer base by maintaining relationships in order to be aware of any changes in their needs
  • Increase sales revenue and profitability of current customers
  • Develop new accounts
  • Identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats
  • Influence customer thinking by brokering information and expert advice as a valued advisor
  • Develop business deals that yield long term value for both the customer and the company
  • Identify needs of current and potential customers and determine company provided solutions
  • Work closely with internal support groups, providing adequate information so that quotations and purchase agreements can be generated
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and utilize that information to enhance relationships with customers
  • Prompt response to customer requests
  • Take an active role in trade association activities that may occur in the assigned territory
  • Achieve budgeting and planning targets, forecasting accurately to management
  • Achieve assigned monthly / yearly sales goals
  • Pipeline (communication / progress tool) to be used regularly and updated weekly at a minimum
  • Provide monthly progress reports to supervisor (or as required)
  • Assist in the development and delivery of sales presentations as requested

Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Able to communicate & negotiate effectively, both in written and verbal form, while maintaining a customer service focus
  • Detail oriented, with extreme sensitivity to timing and deadlines
  • Ability to learn new products, equipment and their associated applications and processes
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to take responsibility for problems / opportunities and implement permanent solutions
Valued but not required skills & experience:
  • 2 to 20 years of sales experience in the Printing, Ink, Prepress or Coatings industries
