Prospect new customers, drop in and introduce yourself if you see a potential customer. Seek out new opportunities for find new customers. Network with current customers to gain new leads.
Build long lasting relationships with customers, by servicing customers and proving you care about their business.
Experience working with and training distributors of water/wastewater chemicals.
Stay up to date in your industry and the changes in the industry.
Make your sales plan for the week and pursue your plan.
Provide water treatment solutions to your customers, by jar testing and making recommendations based on results.
Communicate with management and inform them on ways to assist you in the field.
Some over-night travel required, but you have the freedom to manage your own schedule.
Special projects as assigned by management.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a Bachelor's in Business with at least 5 years of water/wastewater technical sales experience.
5 years’ experience selling water wastewater chemicals.
Strong math skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to make decisions.
Ability to work with people and build long lasting relationships.
Ability to work “hands on” in the customer’s laboratory.
Technical problem solving skills.
Ability to multitask and set priorities.
Great at time management.
Ability to communicate with customers verbally and in writing.
Experience with ERP/MRP programs.
Jar water testing experience a plus.
