Job Description
THE POSITION
MUST HAVE Requirements
Minimum of 4 years business to business field sales experience as a HUNTER in which new business is your primary goal and measurement of success.
Direct sales experience (as opposed to pure channel)
Experience representing some sort of high technology products and/or services, or something that is related or transferable.
Candidate must have a successful and verifiable track record selling on-target with sales between $300,000 to $800,000 annually.
Successful record of managing a sales funnel with deals valuing between 20-100k.
Exceptional skills in the following: communication, presentation skills, negotiation, closing, organizational, and teamwork.
Clear sense of integrity, work ethic and a sincere interest in building strong relationships based upon competency and trust.
Entrepreneurial spirit that propels you to go the extra mile.
BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Communications or another related field.
Ability to travel 60% of the time. This is typically regional travel during the week with the occasional week long trip from time to time.
NICE TO HAVES
Understanding of information technology and multiple platforms, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly (LAN/WAN, web design, network security and Audio/Visual technology).
Previous experience with the public meeting process or parliamentary procedure is a plus.
Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com or similar CRM a plus.
DESCRIPTION
In addition to the above, you will be responsible for meeting with and selling to a set of 300 to 500 pre-qualified prospects.
You will also responsible for up selling the territorys current client base.
You also will be supported by an
account
development team, marketing department and a technical sales support
manager
.
While 75% your meetings are set by the
account
development representatives, you will be expected to prospect and cold call the remaining 25%.
You will attend prospect meetings as on-site prospect meetings allow the outside sales representatives to take prospective clients through our clients proven methodology. Prospect meetings include but are not limited to first gaining an understanding of the prospects current situation, then demonstrating our clients software and existing client sites to 5 to 25 stakeholders.
The outside sales representative bridges the gap between where the prospect is today and where they want to be by creating a solution that combines our clients professional services, software and infrastructure.
You will also manage the sales funnel by pushing opportunities through our clients pre-defined sales cycle stages. This involves helping the prospect through their process of deciding on a procurement method, determining fund allocation and getting the purchase approved by the governing body.
In addition, you will be attending regional and national trade shows and conferences.
