DESCRIPTION
Our Client seeks to be the leading electrical distributor in the market it serves by providing outstanding customer service, quality products, and continuous opportunities for its employees, while producing superior long-term results. We are currently seeking an Outside Sales Rep to work in either Cleveland, Akron or Canton, OH.

The qualified candidate will:

* Establish and maintain relationships with customers by continued routine contact at customers location, over the phone and in written correspondence in order to anticipate and fulfill the customers need for electrical products

* Introduce and promote electrical products by making joint presentations at customer locations with the manufacturer representative in order to educate the customer and sell the products

* Determine prices by negotiating with vendors and customers in order to both obtain the sale and a reasonable level of profit for the company

* Delegate expediting functions to appropriate individuals and ensures that correct materials are delivered to the customer as quickly as possible

* May perform expediting functions personally

* Maintain knowledge of electrical products, technology and their applications by attending training schools and seminars, reading industry literature, etc., in order to understand and anticipate customer needs for electrical products

REQUIREMENTS
* Two to four years prior experience working with a distributor to obtain an understanding of the structure, systems and processes of a distributor.

* Experience in prospecting for new and repeat business and successfully closing the sale.

* Expert knowledge in electrical applications; the products and their use. Products include Switch Gear, Circuit Breakers, Transformers, Pipe, Wire, Conduit, Enclosure, Receptacles, Scotch Locks, Connectors, Patch Cord, Tape, Lights, Fixtures, PLC, Drives, OIT, and Software

* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common electrical documents, product catalogs, specification sheets, technical journals, industry publications, and financial reports.

* Ability to effectively interface with customers, vendors, and support staff both in person and over the telephone.

* Ability to effectively present common and technical information to various levels in an organization, both verbally and in writing.

* Organizational and time management skills.
