DescriptionOur client is uniquely positioned to become one of the leading managed care players in the future of health care. Today we are seeking a Director of Contracting and Provider Relations to work with a GROWING plan in OHIO. Increasing membership and an expansion of service to the provider community has created this new role which will focus on areas in Northern Ohio.
We are seeking an experienced team builder and relationship manager to continue to enhance and expand an established network. Negotiate contracts with hospitals, physician groups and ancillary service agreements. Effectively integrate new programs and strategies to reach per member per month targets, and provide oversight to the provider set-up and contract configuration in the computer system to ensure accurate claims adjudication. Perform basic financial analyses to identify medical cost improvement opportunities, develop strategies to reach financial goals, and execute contracting strategies to meet goals and objectives.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related area. 5-7 years of related experience negotiating hospital, large physician groups and ancillary service agreements and external customer service for providers. Prefer candidates with knowledge of the Ohio market.
